MetroGel 0.75% for acne rosacea ?

I've had this rosacea for awhile now almost 3 or 4 years, I'm 15, started in 6th grade I'm pretty sure, i went to a dermatologist and they gave me this MetroGel Top Gel 0.75%
I was wondering if I can cover the redness after I put it on? and will it make my skin flaky and dry? & btw my rosacea is basically on my nose, like literally all over my nose
Help?!
